Lore for The 4 Clans
Apiero
The world where the characters of The 4 Clans reside is called Apiero.
Apiero is a continuously growing world. Explorers began at the massive life mountain and its upside down twin. They have sought to find and map the borders of this lush double sided expanse. Some explorers have traveled this twofold land their entire lives, never retracing their steps and always finding new beings. They have endlessly found new seas, plants, and creatures as well as a wildly unpredictable array of civilizations. Some peaceful and magical while others hateful and technologically advanced.
Prophets from all corners of the varying continents proclaim the four greatest gods are infinitely pulling into creation new areas and new beings. These gods are responsible for making all forms of life spring forth from the titanic double mountain.
The Squid Lord
The Squid Lord is a mysterious traveling prophet.
When he enters a city, followers throng to him. Days later, people from all classes disappear. His most devout followers grow worm like tentacles that warp parts of their bodies. When The Squid Lord decides his mission is complete, he slips out of town just as quietly as he arrives.
After his departure, those that were closest to him eventually wither and die.
Grunthal
Grunthal is a slow witted creature found wandering the Plains of Athella.
A high lord in pursuit of glory strived to slay him. When Grunthal proved to be too tough to kill, the lord decided to capture this creature.
He ordered his sergeant at arms to train this beast to become a useful part of his army. The sergeant labored greatly to train Grunthal but it was the house chef that was able to entice and befriend him. The chef and Grunthal became inseparable.
Over time, the high lord became paranoid that his rivals were trying to assassinate him. When some pudding tasted off he had the chef beheaded. Once Grunthal understood his friend was dead he stormed to the armory, equipped himself and methodically killed everyone in the manor.
Angry and depressed, Grunthal lives his life hiring himself out to any army that will provide him with a feast.
Eyeball Paul
Pupil Paul was born to a feudal village just north of Cornea.
When he came of age, he went to the All Seeing Tower in order to take his eye exam of legend, in which he conquered many a foe to gain the power of the Ring of Zackimo and fought Fulton’s Beast to an eyeball pulp!
Pupil Paul was granted the title of Cornea Hero of Legend, giving him the Symbol of the Blind Eye!
Pupil Paul ascended to the rank of Eyeball Paul!
